Dear Spurtle
So, according to one of the Albany Street NIMBYs, the road has become a
motorway (Breaking news, 21.7.12).
Is this the same road I walked along the other day when firemen were dealing with a van which had caught fire?
For several minutes the road was blocked by their fire engine so traffic, including a No. 8 bus, was delayed. However, in that period the traffic queue did not stretch back as far as Broughton Street. Hardly motorway intensity.
Please, Spurtle, let's be vigilant but not hysterical in monitoring how the city copes with the major disruption of tram works.
Yours
Peter Head
