Dear Spurtle
I refer to the piece in the your February edition ('Council draws line under armadillo trial'), which suggests that the replacement 'splitter kerbline' will be paid for out of the tram budget.
Maybe so, but this has to be seen in the context of CEC's capital programme update which reports a deft underspend of £317k between August and December 2017 for the 'Leith Improvement Programme – Core' in order to facilitate 'Realignment to fit with the tram project'.
Needless to add that Leith Central Community Council was neither informed about nor took part in post-armadillo discussions. Ostriches anywhere?
