SPURTLE ISSUE 189 – OUT TOMORROW!

Submitted by Editor on

December's issue of the Spurtle will be printed tonight in time for delivery to local pubs, clubs, shops, newsagents, hairdressers, galleries, nightspots, dayspots, cafés, greengrocers, fishmongers, schools, surgeries and sundry street corners.

This month we cover: Leith Walk and the theoretical trams, Leith Walk and a work of art, threats to Scottish townscapes thanks to a change in the law, and latest plans for a local park. We have poetry from former Edinburgh makar Stewart Conn, auction news, retail developments, planning developments, two debut novelists, and news of Broughton's sinister  criminal underbelly.

We have also hares, reindeer, caribou, a flamingo and floppy-eared rabbit called Geoffrey. All this and more, on the streets and online first thing tomorrow.

Saddle the huskies – we're off!
